Tipple Tower Duplex

Based on the classic mining buildings that sorted and graded coal from the mines the Tipple Towers are a Canmore icon. The tall thin buildings were the ideal shape for a duplex, allowing the larger form to be broken into 2 parts and providing a community engaging central entry.

The central entrance allows residents chance meetings and the building of community while creating additional separation for main level decks. Central stairs echo the entry while again providing greater separation between units and living spaces.

The weathered exterior finishes compliment the industrial motif that was used for interior elements and finishes in these 4-bedroom 2,500 sq.ft. units.
